The major announcement of the evening was the birthday of our fellow club member:
Dave Hughes:-

Dave has acheived the young age of 90 years.

Congratulations Dave, we all hope you have a very happy birthday and look forward to seeing you at many more of our meetings.

Dave worked at Airbus in Broughton but spent some time in Toulouse where he learned to speak French and developed a taste for snails.
He was a keen car repairer / restorer, and plays the guitar.
Apart from making wood round, he is a wood carver and walking stick maker.

Also there were a number of announcements made at the end of the meeting by our Vice chairman, Mark Woodward.

1,    The selection of demonstrators has been agreed, within budget and they have all acknowledged – further information at the AGM

2 ,   The club needs more participation from members in supporting the committee and the club in general and on a club night.

3,    The club is in urgent need of a new treasurer for 2025.

These will be discussed further at the January meeting.
