A few years ago one of the monthly competitions was an item less than 3” (75mm). Although the items are of little practical use it provided a challenge. Trust me albeit small items do not equate to quick or easy. Faults and scratches stick out as there nowhere to hide.
The items also use those tiny pieces of spindle or any wood left over from other jobs. Expensive wood that you don’t feel like wasting.
Box, yew, Indian rosewood, olive wood used. Holding using the record power 2000 chuck with small jaws.
Added bonus they don’t take up much space in the house.

Nice looking bit of turning. Vish.
Role on lockdown being unlocked!
I made 35 egg cups for NHS staff over Easter. I never want to see an eggcup again!

Well done Tony – I assume it’s for the other members of the practice.
My daughter a GP asked for some pens for her staff and I said no problem but now that I find she has over 20 staff I have some reservations! Another fine mess I’ve got myself into?.
Ordered more slimline kits but their stocks running out fast as other woodturners after something to do.
Look after yourself.
